Tiago crosses 400,000 mark

Tata Motors has rolled out its 4,00,000 Tiago from its Sanand facility in Gujarat.

The company’s Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Rajan Amba said, “The Tiago has been a key product in our Turnaround 2.0 strategy and since its launch has been successful in grabbing a sizeable marketshare in the most crowded segment in the auto industry. The Tiago has become the preferred choice for youngsters who are looking for a stylish, feature-loaded, and safe car, with more than 60 percent of sales from first-time buyers.”

The company launches a CNG version of the car in January and as Amba said,” The recent interventions of Tiago NRG and Tiago CNG have gained quite the popularity among prospective buyers.”

Tata Motors said it has continuously updated the Tiago  with various technological innovations over the years. Its sporty design, superior drivability, and immaculate safety features have redefined the hatch segment since its introduction in 2016, it said. In a press note, Tata said the Tiago has a market share of 19 percent in its segment.
