Bangalore, July 16, 2013: TE Connectivity, a global supplier which provides connectivity solutions to multiple industries, has announced the introduction of a two-position sealed fuse box for anti-lock braking system (ABS) applications in two-wheelers.
The two-position sealed fuse box provides a miniaturised solution that reduces packaging weight and size and is designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments, including water and dust. The product is based on a proven AMP MCP 2.8mm terminal. It has a maximum current rating of 40A, a maximum terminal mating force of 6N and a maximum terminal un-mating force of 5N. The product includes a spare fuse and additional features like an attached clip for easy chassis mounting.
“The two-position sealed fuse box for tw0-wheelers is designed and produced locally in TE Connectivity’s manufacturing plant in Pune,” said Viswanath S, director (Automotive) for TE Connectivity in India. “We have implemented this critical safety application with a leading two-wheeler OEM in India with great success.”
In India, TE’s automotive business produces connectivity and sensor products that enable critical electronic functions from power management systems and smart engine controls that increase fuel efficiency, to active and passive systems that improve safety, and navigation systems for smarter vehicles.
