Tata’s domestic sales up 81 percent in April 2022

The company's PV and CV segments recorded good numbers in April

Tata’s domestic sales up 81 percent in April 2022

Tata Motors reported total domestic sales of 71,467 units for both PV and CV in April 2022, a jump of 81 percent  as against 39,401 units in April 2021.

The domestic passenger car sales grew by 66 percent at 41,587 units as against 25095 units reported in April 2021. Within passenger vehicles, the contribution of ICE run vehicles stood at 39265 units in April 2022, up 60 percent against 24514 units in April 2021.

The company’s EV portfolio registered sales of 2322 units during April 2022 when compared to 581 units in April 2021, a jump of  300 percent on a low base. 

Tata’s domestic sales of M&HCV, I&LCVs, passenger carriers, SCV cargo and pickups  in April 2022 stood at 29,880 units, up 109 percent as against 14306 units on YoY basis. On a MoM basis, Tata Motors' total domestic sales in March 2022  had seen a jump of  21 percent to 44,425 units.
