Tata Motors Group sells 94,055 vehicles in June 2012, JLR sales up 39 percent

Mumbai, July 17, 2012: The Tata Motors Group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055 units in June 2012, higher by 6 percent over June 2011.

Tata Motors Group sells 94,055 vehicles in June 2012, JLR sales up 39 percent

Mumbai, July 17, 2012: The Tata Motors Group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055 units in June 2012, higher by 6 percent over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 276,524 higher by 7 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.

Global sales of all commercial vehicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range – were 47,896 units, in June 2012, a growth of 6 percent. However, cumulative CV sales for the fiscal were flat at 130,932 units. Global sales of all passenger vehicles at 46,159 units in June 2012 were higher by 7 percent, with cumulative sales for the fiscal were higher by 12 percent at 145,592 units.

Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles were 17,944 units for the month, down by 21 percent over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 62,140 units, lower by 8 percent.

Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in June 2012 were 28,215 vehicles, higher by 39 percent over June 2011. While Jaguar sales were 3,829 units, lower by 5 percent, while Land Rover sales were 24,386 units, higher by 49 percent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 83,452 units, higher by 34 percent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar were 11,774 units, higher by 4 percent, while cumulative sales of Land Rover were 71,678 units, higher by 41 percent.
