Tata Motors sells 11,564 cars in August, down 48 percent
Mumbai, September 1, 2013: Tata Motors has sold a total of 11,564 passenger cars in August 2013, down a massive 60.29 percent over the 29,123 units it sold a year ago in August 2012.
Mumbai, September 1, 2013: Tata Motors has sold a total of 11,564 passenger cars in August 2013, down 48 percent over the 22,311 units it sold a year ago in August 2012. Sales of the Nano/ Indica/ Indigo range during the month were 8,761 units while the Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture range sales comprised 2,803 units.
In a bid to pep up sales, the company has refreshed its entire passenger range and in mid-June had put them on display at a high-decibel event in Pune. It has also launched a CNG line-up for the Nano, Indica and Indigo under the e-Max template. A host of service-oriented initiatives has also begun.
The company’s total sales (including exports) of commercial and passenger vehicles in August 2013 were 49,611 vehicles with domestic sales comprising 44,717 units. Cumulative sales
(including exports) for the company for the current fiscal (April-August 2013) total 254,355 units.
