Tata Green Batteries inks aftermarket supply pact for Tata Motors CVs
Tata AutoComp GY Batteries, already an OEM partner to Tata Motors, extends partnership to the aftermarket.
Tata AutoComp GY Batteries (Tata Green Batteries) has inked an aftermarket tie-up with Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, to enable Tata Green Batteries to be available for sale at Tata Motors’ authorised dealerships and workshops.
According to Ravi Gupta – CEO, Tata Green Batteries, “Tata Green Batteries has been one of the major OEM partners of Tata Motors for a long time with supplies to all major platforms of commercial vehicles. This landmark agreement marks the extension of this relationship to the aftermarket space.”
R Ramakrishnan – Global Head, Customer Care, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “The growth of commercial vehicle industry is at a positive upswing in India. Today, customers seek all-encompassing solutions for their vehicles. With this strategic tie-up, Tata Motors’ authorised dealerships and service stations will be one-stop service solutions for vehicle batteries pan India. We are confident that this alliance with further strengthen a hassle-free experience for the consumers.”
Tata Green Batteries, a 50:50 joint venture between Tata AutoComp Systems and GS Yuasa Corporation, Japan, is one of the largest Tier 1 automotive components manufacturers and suppliers of many components to OEMs worldwide. It caters to OEMS across vehicle segments and has a strong all-India network of more than 500 distributors, 15,000 retailers and 25,000 mechanics/ garages.
