Tata AutoComp has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility for state-of-the-art cabins for tractors and off-highway equipment at Chakan, Pune. The two companies had partnered for this project in June 2019

These cabins are developed in collaboration with Fortaco, the globally renowned design engineering and manufacturing solutions provider and the leading European strategic partner to the heavy off-highway equipment. The new facility promises to revolutionise the agricultural industry by offering safe, advanced, ergonomic and innovative cabin solutions for tractors. Fortaco is providing the design and technology for this advanced cabin facility.

The new factory, which was inaugurated on November 7, will produce low- to high-volume operator cabins for Indian agriculture, construction equipment, and other off-highway applications and also for exports. Tata AutoComp and Fortaco will deliver the cabins to key tractor and off-highway OEMs for fitment on their tractors sold in the domestic and international markets.

Arvind Goel, Chairman, Tata AutoComp said: “Tata AutoComp has always been a pioneer in introducing cutting edge technology to its customers. The off-highway vehicle market is developing rapidly in India and demand for safety and comfort have started increasing amongst users. With strong design and technology collaboration with Fortaco, this new cabin facility will offer safe, comfortable cabins to the tractor and off-highway industry, thereby strengthening our presence in these segments across India and global markets.”

Lars Hellberg, President and CEO for Fortaco Group, commented: “Our collaboration with Tata AutoComp has allowed us to leverage our technical capabilities to create a cabin facility that sets new standards in the industry. We are proud to be part of this project, which emphasises innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. The collaboration between our teams has been fruitful, and we are confident that the tractors equipped with these cabins will make a positive impact on the farming community.”
