SVLL Connect, a group company of Siddhi Vinayak Logistics Ltd (SVLL) which is one of the largest fleet operators in India, is set to expand its recently launched inter-city personal vehicle service. The company, whose fleet of cars has already started plying in Mumbai, Pune, Vapi, Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jaipur, Delhi and NCR, aims to extend the service to Chandigarh, Mohali, Udaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Jalgaon in a few months’ time.

In May this year, SVLL Connect signed one of the largest passenger vehicle deals with Tata Motors ordering 2,000 cars comprising the Manza, Indigo eCS and 1,000 Arias. The vehicles will be deployed for corporate hire, large families and individual users.

Talking to Autocar Professional, Deepak Baid, director, SVLL Connect, said, “Each month, we are adding 150-170 cars. With this service, we intend to target 80 percent corporate business with two- to three-year contracts and 20 percent retail.”

The SVLL business is one of biggest institutional orders in recent times for Tata Motors and considering the base price of Rs 11 lakh per Aria, this single 1,000 unit order will fetch Rs 110 crore revenue for the OEM. The total size of the 2,000 vehicle order well could exceed Rs 160 crore. According to Baid, the Aria scores better against its popular rival the Toyota Innova in terms of pricing as it is cheaper but offers equal comfort and mileage. “This will make a good proposition because we can offer competitive rates to customers,” he said.

SVLL, which operates a fleet of over 7,600 trucks, has recently taken charge of 120 luxury inter-city coaches from Swedish CV maker Scania. In April this year it flagged off an ultra-luxury, seven-star inter-city bus service between Mumbai and Surat and plans to extend the same to other cities in the country.
