Sona Koyo Steering Systems bags two prestigious awards from Institute of Economic Studies
New Delhi, September 20, 2012: Sona Koyo Steering Systems, India’s largest manufacturer of steering systems for passenger car and utility vehicles, has bagged two awards from the Institute of Economic Studies (IES), one of India’s premiere research institutes.
New Delhi, September 20, 2012: Sona Koyo Steering Systems, India’s largest manufacturer of steering systems for passenger car and utility vehicles, has bagged two awards from the Institute of Economic Studies (IES), one of India’s premiere research institutes.
While Sona Koyo Steering Systems has been conferred with the ‘Excellence Award’ for developing a number of outstanding developments in the field of auto components, its CEO, Sunder Rajan, received the Udyog Ratna Award for his outstanding contributions made to industry.

Both the awards are conferred by IES annually and work on studying various aspects of the economy and economic development. The institute closely monitors various facets of the economy and individual contribution of various companies and business leaders.
Commenting on the awards, Sunder Rajan said: “I feel honoured and would express my heartfelt thanks to the jury for conferring these highly prestigious awards. This award is a testimony to our work and contributions made to the industry. We have made significant contributions on a global level and have become pioneers in the industry. We are extremely humbled that our efforts have been recognised”.
