Setco launches Lipe CV clutches

Commercial vehicle users are shifting to cost/per tonne/trips as the key operational parameter. This leads to a paradigm shift in commercial vehicle manufacturing in India. With this target consumer in mind, Setco has launched this new clutch range. This 430 diameter clutch assembly is made from a majority of the components that have been developed in-house and have been tested for endurance and reliability. Setco Automotive has already started marketing this range of clutches in the UK and other international markets as well. These clutches are becoming popular in the service replacement market. The installation process for these Lipe clutches is user friendly.

The 430 range of clutches is currently being used in the aftermarket service replacement for DAF, MAN, Mercedes, Scania, Volvo and other makes of heavy commercial vehicles. As some of these makes have planned their entry in the Indian market, Setco seems to be well poised to benefit. It has already offered this product to Tata Motors for its World Truck Project.

The company already produces the 352 and 380 diameter twin disc clutch assembly for the American market. This 15-inch twin clutch is very popular with American heavy-duty trucks. As more and more vehicle manufacturers prefer to buy complete systems rather than aggregates, Setco claims this capability and skill set have made it a leader in heavy duty clutch system designing and also well tuned for the fast changing cost-competitive automotive industry.
