Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) is looking at small and medium enterprises to be a major driver of its growth in India.

Its annual conference in Mumbai recently saw the company detail its new products in India and its long-term vision.

PTC, which provides product lifecycle management (PLM), content management and dynamic publishing solutions to more than 50,000 organisations worldwide, showcased products such as Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill, Windchill ProjectLink and Windchill PDMLink, Arbortext, and Mathcad. Participants used this opportunity to learn more about PTC’s latest solutions for optimising the product development process and improving electronic content management.

Rafiq Somani, country manager, PTC India, talked about the general economic situation in his opening speech.

According to Somani, "Companies are looking at more basic but innovative products, trying to cut costs and delivery time and so on. Our products will certainly help them achieve these.” PTC programs allow engineers to define and manage manufacturing processes in the same system, ensuring products are accurately manufactured.
