Okinawa expands Galaxy retail network to Ahmedabad
Experience centre aims to offer customers a real-time EV purchasing experience and drive awareness for electric two-wheelers.
A week after it opened a new retail showroom in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, EV maker Okinawa Autotech today inaugurated its new Galaxy showroom in Ahmedabad. The experience centre aims to offer customers a real-time EV purchasing experience and drive awareness for electric two-wheelers.
In what is now a trend, particularly among two-wheeler EV OEMs, showrooms like the Galaxy stores are experience centres designed to enhance customer engagement toward electric two-wheelers. This includes a behind-the-scenes view and the inner workings of the manufacturing process. Cutaway sections of its e-scooters enable visitors to closely examine key components such as the battery, motor and chassis. There is also a customisation zone, where customers can revamp their chosen vehicle with bespoke details.
Jeetender Sharma, founder and MD, Okinawa Autotech, said, "We are delighted to foray into Ahmedabad with our newest Galaxy Showroom.. We hope this store not only gives our customers what they want to see but also what's beyond, that is, the bright future of electric two-wheelers in our country."
In the April-July 2022 period, Okinawa has retailed a total of 35,386 units, averaging monthly sales of 8,846 units. This makes it the No. 1 electric two-wheeler OEM at present.
