May 8: Nippon Paints, one of the largest paint manufacturers in Asia, has set up the first Paint Express at Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra. The multi-car paint workshop was inaugurated by Hitesh Shah, business manager of Nippon Paints (India) recently. It is the third Paint Express in India since the Japanese company first inaugurated two Paint Expresses at Kochi and Punjab in March.

Sharad Malhotra, vice-president of Nippon Paints (India), said: “We are happy to choose Gemini Automobiles as our franchisee to handle our operations in Navi Mumbai. Our short-term plan is to start at least 40 more workshops this year and our long-term goal is to reach 500 workshops around the country.”
