MG Motor opens its workshop in Mumbai, its largest in Western India
The new service facility is spread across 50,000 square feet; has 17 service bay; 10 body shop bay; 22 parking bay. Furthermore, the company plans to add 10,000 square feet to further expand the servicing capabilities in the city.
MG Motor India has inaugurated its new service facility in Malad, Mumbai, which it says is the largest MG workshop in western India.
With the inauguration, the carmaker operates 43 touchpoints in Maharashtra and plans to expand to 45 touchpoints in the state by end-2022. At present, the OEM has a total of 310 touchpoints centres across India. The new service facility is spread across 50,000 square feet; has 17 service bay; 10 body shop bay; 22 parking bay. Furthermore, the company plans to add 10,000 square feet to further expand the servicing capabilities in the city.
Gaurav Gupta, chief commercial officer, MG Motor India said, “The inauguration of MG Malad workshop is aligned with our plans to enhance service experience for our customers in Mumbai. The facility will provide all the requirements including service, spare parts and accessories.”

The carmaker which recently launched the updated MG ZS EV and the Astor SUV is seeing a strong demand and is looking to expand its manufacturing capacity from 70,000 units to 120,000 units per annum.
