Maxxis Tyres targets increased reach in Madhya Pradesh, hosts dealer meet in Indore

Fast-growing tyremaker has a 200-dealer network in MP, looks to strengthen base in this key market, has built a 1,500-plus dealer network thus far in India.

Maxxis India, a sub-company of Maxxis Group, one of the world’s fastest growing tyre companies, recently conducted a dealers’ meet in Indore. The meet was attended by 80 dealers from Indore, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ujjain, Jhabua, Barwani, Burhanpur, Dewas, Dhar, Alirajpur region who were briefed on Maxxis’s tyre range designed for diverse Indian applications and industry-best warranty policy and transparent claim resolution process.

Commenting on the event, Bing-Lin Wu, Retail Sales Head, Maxxis India, said, “With the vision to capture 15 percent market share of India’s two-wheeler tyre industry by 2023, Maxxis is fast expanding its presence across India. We are stepping into central India steadily with Indore being a key two-wheeler market. At present, we have a network of around 200 dealers in Madhya Pradesh and 13 dealers in Indore alone. We are strengthening our base to further leverage our reach in markets like Raipur, Bhopal, Gwalior.”

Po-Yu (Jeremy) Hsu, assistant vice-president, Service, Maxxis India said, “Maxxis has always taken a customer-first approach and hence we have been trying to meet the demands of the customers by providing world-class products that meet global safety and quality standards. The dealers meet gave us a great platform to communicate Maxxis’s highest service quality to our dealer partners.”

The dealers, led by Alok Sethi  and Pallav Sethi of Hindustan Abhikaran, Maxxis’s distributor for Madhya Pradesh, were introduced to the latest products and solutions offered by Maxxis, including the industry-best 5+1 unconditional warranty with Maxxis 2-wheeler tyres. This unconditional warranty is a no-questions-asked offer that applies to all unserviceable and unrepairable tyres. During the meet, dealers were also apprised of various dealer incentive programs and schemes.

Maxxis India inaugurated their first manufacturing facility in Sanand Gujarat in March 2018 and are targeting to capture a market share of at least 15 percent of India’s two-wheeler tyre market within 5 years. India market is touted to play a vital role in achieving Maxxis’s global vision to become one of the top 5 tyre manufactures in the world by 2026. The company has plans to set up 5 more plants in India which will also cater to the 4-wheeler tyre market.

The sub-company of Maxxis Group, Maxxis India (Maxxis Rubber India Private Limited) started its own arm of business in India in 2015 and has built its first manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The facility is spread across a massive 106 acres and has a capacity to produce around 20,000 tyres and 40,000 tubes per day. Maxxis currently serves as an OEM tyre supplier to Honda (Two-wheelers), Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata and Jeep in India. Maxxis Rubber India has been selected as the original equipment tyre supplier to India’s number one selling model, Honda Activa, since 2015. Maxxis is fast expanding its partner network and have built a 1500+ dealer network so far in India.
