Mathias Senghaas to head GGB Asia

Mathias Senghaas to head GGB Asia

October 29, 2013: GGB Bearing Technology, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has appointed Mathias Senghaas general manager for Asia with responsibility for sales and business development in China, India and the Pacific Rim. He will be based in Singapore.

“In his new role, Mathias will bring greater focus to our commercial expansion in Asia, supporting our global customers as we build our base of local customers, end-user applications and presence in new geographies,” said GGB President Ken Walker. “We remain excited about our long-term growth prospects in the region, and continue to see year-after-year sales increases. In fact we’re currently positioned to have one of our best years ever.”

Prior to his present appointment, Senghaas served as general manager of GGB China based in Suzhou, where the company maintains a production facility he helped establish in 2007. He began his career with GGB in 1999.
