Maruti Suzuki Ritz crosses 2 lakh sales mark
May 5: The Maruti Suzuki Ritz hatchback has crossed the 200,000 sales mark, 36 months after its launch. Like its Swift sibling, the Ritz is one of the fastest models to achieve 200,000 unit sales.
Commenting on the Ritz’s landmark, Shashank Srivastava, chief GM (marketing), Maruti Suzuki, said: “Launched in 2009, the Ritz has played a wonderful innings so far. It is powered by the two very successful engines: the 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine and the DDiS 1.3-litre diesel engine. Now when the market is skewed towards diesel, we expect the Ritz to gain more volumes in the future as well.”
