New management roles at JLR, unified marketing and sales set-up for both brands
Mumbai, August 28, 2013: Jaguar Land Rover has announced changes in its Executive Committee that take effect from October 1, 2013.
Mumbai, August 28, 2013: Jaguar Land Rover has announced changes in its Executive Committee that take effect from October 1, 2013. The changes include the revision of Executive Committee roles to reflect the company’s recent international sales growth and increased operational scale of the UK-based manufacturer.
JLR will create a unified marketing and sales leadership structure for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, whilst also creating dedicated resources in strategy development and processes.
CEO Dr Ralf Speth announced that:
- Phil Popham, currently director, group sales operations, will become group marketing director Jaguar Land Rover. In this new role he will be responsible for all global marketing activity on both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.
- Andy Goss, currently president JLR North America, will become group sales operations director with responsibility for global sales and customer service. He will take over the lead of Phil Popham's current team and will join the Executive Committee. An announcement about the successor will be made in due course.
- Adrian Hallmark, currently global brand director for Jaguar now takes over as group strategy director responsible for business strategy, process and supporting strategic projects.
- John Edwards, currently global director director for Land Rover moves to a new role in the senior management team which will be subject to a future announcement.
Speth said,” This reorganisation represents a natural evolution of our management team, designed to sharpen our relentless focus on customer first. It is the next phase in our development, mirroring the recent changes we made to product creation and delivery, and bringing together the strategy and processes supporting the brands.”
In addition, Dr Wolfram Liedtke, currently director, quality and automotive safety, will be retiring from the company at the end of 2013 and will be succeeded by Grant McPherson, currently operations director, Castle Bromwich plant. He will report to Speth and join the Executive Committee.
