Mahindra XUV500 refresh on the drawing board
June 11, 2012: Mahindra & Mahindra has received over 7200 bookings for the XUV500 from customers within just 2 days of opening the bookings.
Meanwhile, M&M has begun “conceiving” a refreshed version of the XUV500 since it typically takes two years for such an exercise to fructify. M&M will tap the talent it has at the Mahindra Research Valley R&D facility near Chennai. Pravin Shah, chief executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “This overwhelming response in today’s challenging market environment is a testimony to the popularity of the XUV500.”
