Mahindra Tractors sells 25,922 units in September, up 37 percent YoY
Mumbai, October 1, 2013: The good rainfall around the country is having a positive effect on tractor manufacturers’ sales. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), has notched handsome 37 percent growth, selling 25,922 units in the domestic market in September 2013 as against 18,908 units during September 2012.
Speaking on the monthly performance, Rajesh Jejurikar, chief executive, Tractor and Farm Mechanisation, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said: “On the back of a good monsoon, we are delighted with a 37 percent growth in tractor sales despite the traditionally low buying period in September. We see a healthy growth continuing over the next few months.”
