Mahindra launches Alfa Plus load carrier

May 7: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Alfa Plus, a longer deck variant of its three-wheeler Alfa load carrier. The Alfa Plus has been designed for intra-city load transport, specifically for distributors of mineral water, gas cylinders and consumer goods. This new three-wheeler will roll out from M&M’s plants at Haridwar and Zaheerabad.

With the longest cargo box in its class, the Alfa Plus offers a 20 percent increase in load volume in every trip. While a bigger wheelbase adds to the vehicle’s stability, a smoother ride and increased safety, the company has also installed a robust transmission, having improved gearbox life by upto 20 percent, more power with an increase in engine torque by 8 percent and an increase in clutch life by 50 percent.

Speaking at the launch, Vivek Nayer, senior vice-president, marketing, Automotive Division, M&M, said, “With the launch of the Alfa Plus, we have significantly enhanced the value proposition for our customers and hence strengthened our three-wheeler load product portfolio.”
