Kratos R to hit the streets of Pune
The company says the Kratos is India’s first electric bike.
Tork Motors has launched Kratos R which it says is India’s first electric bike. Having first displayed the vehicle in 2016, the company has now announced that customers can expect deliveries to begin this month.
The Kratos R was one of many companies in the EV space that participated in the Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave held on 2-5 April. The company says it got about 5000 inquiries during the event , and up to 1500 test rides. Kapil Shelke, Founder & CEO Tork Motors said, “Our current focus is Pune city and the first set of motorcycles will be delivered in April 2022.
In an earlier interaction, Tork said it planned to roll out the bikes in a phased manner across India, with phase 1 cities comprising Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Delhi. In phase 2, it would target 100 cities. Tork Motors also said it has filed more than 50 patents and designs under IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) to bolster its R&D and cutting-edge technology since its inception.
