Kinetic Green launches 125km-range Zing e-scooter at Rs 85,000

Pune-based EV OEM plans to rolls out a number of high-speed scooters even as it plots rollout of its electric Luna later this fiscal.

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions, which has a strong presence in electric three-wheelers,  today expanded its electric two-wheeler range with the new Zing High Speed Scooter. The eco-friendly scooter is priced at Rs 85,000, ex-showroom including FAME subsidy.

The Zing HSS, which is targeted at young riders and comes with features like multi-speed mode and part failure indicator, is equipped with a 3.4 KwH advanced lithium-ion battery that provides a range of 125km per charge. Other highlights include a three-step adjustable suspension and regenerative braking system. The Zing HSS, as per Kinetic, has a top speed of 60kmph and has been well tested ahead of its market launch.

Kinetic Green had entered the e-two-wheeler market in 2021 with two models and has thus far sold over 30,000 units. The Zing HSS will be sold from 300 exclusive Kinetic Green dealers in India.

Kinetic Green, a Firodia Group company, produces a wide range of battery-operated vehicles such as electric scooters, electric three-wheelers (cargo and passenger) and electric golf-carts and buggies in partnership with Tonino Lamborghini of Italy.  It has till now designed, manufactured and cumulatively sold over 50,000 EVs and grossed sales of over Rs 500 crore. 

Kinetic Green was the first in India to develop an ARAI approved electric three-wheeler and also the first to offer lithium-ion battery technology on a three-wheeler in the country.
