International Tractor targets 50,000 unit sales in 10-11

Mittal said the Bihar unit is aimed at strengthening its presence in eastern region. The Bihar unit will go operational by 20102. He said that the process of adding up the additional production capacity will be completed by 2011. The company produces tractors of capacity ranging from 30 to 90 HP under the Sonalika brand.

Mittal said the sales of the company have increased by 28.5 percent in November. The company has sold 3337 tractors in the month as compared to 2596 tractors last year during the same month. “We have achieved a 17 percent sales growth and have sold 25, 872 tractors as against 22,118 tractors in the previous year. Overall we expect we will be able sell about 51000 tractors by the end of this financial year,” he said
