May 9, 2012: Hover Automotive India (HAI), Nissan India’s sales and marketing partner, has announced the appointment of Nitish Tipnis as director, sales and marketing. In this role, Tipnis will head all activities related to sales, marketing, aftersales, training and dealer development at Hover Automotive India. He had served as HAI’s chief executive in 2009 during the early stages of Nissan in India.
In a 24-year career across marketing, sales, operations, corporate planning and new business development in the consumer durables industry, Tipnis has spearheaded key consumer retail businesses.
“We are happy to have Nitish Tipnis working on the entire Nissan portfolio. We believe that his visionary strategic planning and deep knowledge of the domain will contribute immensely towards achieving our corporate goals in marketing and sales of all products under the Nissan umbrella,” said G M Singh, vice-chairman and managing director of HAI.
