Honda is to make environment-friendly cars its theme for Auto Expo 2008. It plans to display its hybrid cars — the Civic Hybrid and fuel cell FCX concept — at its stand in Hall 6.
Powered by a stack of fuel cells which use hydrogen to produce electricity to drive the front wheels through electric motors, the FCX has a range exceeding 420km. The Civic Hybrid uses a combination of petrol and electric propulsion to significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
Other Honda products to be showcased will be the India-bound Jazz and the new Accord. The Japanese carmaker will also display its Formula 1 car.
