May 7, 2013: Honda Cars India (HCIL) has introduced new variants of its Brio hatchback. The new features available include a driver seat height adjuster and a rear windshield defogger. The car is now available in six variants -- EMT, EXMT, SMT, VMT, VXMT and VXAT. The 4-cylinder, 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine remains unchanged.
Announcing the new variants, Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president, marketing & sales, said, “The Brio is a significant model for Honda in India as it has added more than 32,000 happy customers in the last fiscal year. It is our constant endeavour to study customers’ needs and aspirations and introduce features that enhance the overall ownership experience.”
Honda Cars India has cumulatively sold 44,296 units of the Brio since its launch in September 2011. The automatic transmission-equipped variant, launched in October 2012, has received a positive response from customers, according to the company.
