HMSI OPENS THIRD DEALERSHIP IN FARIDABAD - FAHRENHEIT HONDA

September 27, 2012: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India’s third dealership at Faridabad -- Fahrenheit Honda -- has just opened its doors in this region. With this outlet, HMSI has on board 588 authorised Honda exclusive dealerships pan India.

Spread across 2,800 square feet, Fahrenheit Honda houses a display section of the entire range of 15 India-specific scooters and motorcycles from the two-wheeler manufacturer.

The automatic scooter range comprises the new 2012 model of the 110 unisex moto-scooter Dio and Honda’s popular Activa and Aviator gearless scooters.

In the bike portfolio, there’s Honda’s first commuter segment bike, the 109cc Dream Yuga that has notched sales of 85,000 units in just four months since its launch. More products are expected to roll out in the mass bike segment from the Honda stable in future. Among other popular models on display will be the 110cc CB Twister, new 125cc CB Shine, the sporty 125cc CBF Stunner, 150cc CB Unicorn and the 150cc Unicorn Dazzler. The sportsbike stable includes the the CBR 150R and the new 2012 edition of India’s first 250cc CBR 250R.

Salesmen at the dealership have been specially trained by HMSI to service customer needs and Fahrenheit Honda will actively empower riders of all age groups through Honda’s safety riding infrastructure. The 4 S set-up at the dealership aids riders with riding simulators. Meanwhile, a workshop located close to the outlet handles servicing and spare parts requirements.

Faridabad with its growing automotive parc is becoming an important two-wheeler market for Honda. With the opening of Fahrenheit Honda, HMSI now has a total of 31 exclusive dealerships in Haryana.

Sumit Nanda, promoter of Fahrenheit Honda, says that it is targeting sales of 150 to 200 units per month starting October and expects the festive season to drive sales initially. The dealership received over 30 bookings with 25 deliveries made on the opening day. They comprise three Activa scooters, four Dream Yugas, and one CB Shine and CBR 250R each.
