Hero HF Deluxe sells a million units in FY15
HF Deluxe has thus emerged as the third Hero MotoCorp bike to clock annual sales of a million units, joining the Hero Splendor and Hero Passion.
Hero MotoCorp's commuter segment bike, HF Deluxe (pictured), has achieved a remarkable feet clocking more than 1 million unit sales in the financial year 2015.
The fuel efficient motorcycle, which has been popular in the rural as well as semi-urban markets, grew around 5% during the financial year to achieve the impressive sales figures, overcoming the subdued rural economy.
HF Deluxe has thus emerged as the third Hero MotoCorp bike to clock annual sales of a million units, joining the Hero Splendor and Hero Passion. The Splendor – the world’s largest-selling motorcycle brand and Passion - have both been a million unit brands for years.

The HF series – which includes HF Deluxe, HF Dawn and their erstwhile avatars CD Dawn and CD Deluxe – also achieved yet another milestone in FY2014-15 by surpassing the 10 million unit mark in cumulative sales since the launch of these brands.
Hero MotoCorp last year surpassed over 60 million units in cumulative sales, and looks well on track to meet its stated objective of surpassing 100 million units in cumulative sales by the year 2020.
“HF Deluxe has remained the most popular entry segment bike in the country for years, and it is no surprise that it has clocked over a million units in both dispatch and retail sales this year. Every second bike sold in this segment is now a HF Deluxe, with its market share in excess of as much as 70% in states such as Odisha and Chhatisgarh”, stated a Hero MotoCorp spokesperson.
“The impressive sales numbers of the HF Deluxe is a reinforcement of the customer’s faith in Hero’s superior products. The precise positioning of our popular brands and focussed brand initiatives has ensured that we continue to excite our customers. We will continue to focus on our strengths and bring the best of products to our customers’, the spokesperson added.
As a testimony to the rapid progress Hero MotoCorp has made in its R&D capabilities over the past few years, seven Hero bikes featured among the top 10 most fuel efficient two-wheelers in the country.
As per the March, 2015 Fuel Efficiency (FE) values certified by iCAT (International Centre for Automotive Technology), a division of NATRIP Implementation Society (NATIS) of the government of India, Splendor iSmart delivered a mileage of 102.50 kilometer per litre, making it the world’s most fuel-efficient bike.
