August 22, 2013: Hero MotoCorp has launched its two-wheeler range in Peru, marking the brand’s foray into the Latin American market. It also announced a partnership with Motocorp S.A.C – a part of the EFE Group of Peru that has been appointed as the sole distributor of the Hero range.

The Hero range will be made available through a network of 85 outlets with more to be added new outlets to be added subsequently in a phased manner.

Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Our new international markets will play a crucial role in the future as we move towards surpassing 100 million units in cumulative sales by 2020.”

The range of Hero two-wheelers which are now available in Peru include successful brands across segments – the Pleasure scooter (100cc), Passion Pro (100cc), Glamour (125cc), Hunk (150cc), Thriller (150cc), Karizma ZMR (223cc) and Karizma R (223cc).

Highlighting the brandbuilding initiatives, Munjal also presented a preview of the Spanish version of its iconic anthem ‘Hum Main Hai Hero’ (there’s a Hero in each one of us).
