Hero Electric partners with Jio-bp for ease of EV charging

In a development that is expected to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption and mobility in India, Hero Electric has partnered Jio-bp to strengthen mobility solutions for electric two-wheelers.

Under this proposed partnership, Hero Electric customers are expected to get access to the widespread charging and swapping network of Jio-bp, which is also open to other vehicles. 

Jio-bp operates its EV charging and swapping stations under the brand Jio-bp pulse. With the Jio-bp pulse app, EV users can easily find stations nearby and charge their electric vehicles.

Hero Electric, which has its manufacturing plant in Ludhiana, currently has a 14-strong portfolio of e-scooters.The demand for electric two-wheelers is on the rise and financing solutions act as a segment enabler for faster adoption. Cumulative retail sales for the four-month April-July 2022 period crossed the 175,000-unit mark at 175,391 units. In July 2022, Hero Electric was the No. 1 EV OEM with 8,953 units
