Gulf Oil, ElectreeFi to develop e-mobility solutions

Gulf Oil, ElectreeFi to develop e-mobility solutions

Gulf Oil India has inked a strategic partnership with Techperspect Software (ElectreeFi), an e-Mobility Solutions (SaaS) company in India. This partnership is the second move by Gulf Oil in the EV Mobility value chain after investing in the UK-based Indra Renewables in 2021, which manufactures smart chargers for the car segment.

This partnership will ensure that Gulf Oil and ElectreeFi can work together to develop solutions leveraging their strength and play a role in the fast-changing e-mobility space for two and three wheelers and cars to start with. Gulf Oil and ElectreeFi have finalised CMS with one of the largest two-wheeler EV companies.

Through this partnership, ElectreeFi will provide SaaS CMS for Gulf Indra Chargers in India. Indra UK is in talks with Electreefi to explore ElectreeFi App for global markets.  Gulf Oil has already initiated a trial run for its smart sockets along with ElectreeFi app with its touchpoints for branded charging network. Gulf Oil will also provide infrastructural support to ElectreeFi and back the start-up to connect with industry and its vast distribution network.

Techperspect and its brand ElectreeFi have created IoT based e-Mobility technology platforms that has various components and offerings both for businesses and end customers in the electric vehicle domain. Currently 40 percent of electric car users in India use ElectreeFi CMS. In fact, the company claims that India’s largest charge point and swap station operators use ElectreeFi Software.

Gulf Oil CFO Manish Gangwal is appointed as Director in ElectreeFi to lead Techperspect. Additionally Gulf Oil has participated in bid process with a large Indian oil conglomerate in providing the SaaS platform services and also successfully completed pilot with a leading EV infrastructure provider for PAN India Battery Swapping stations. The company is also in advanced stage/ working with Korean OEMs to conclude the SaaS offering.
