Glamour to soon become Hero MotoCorp's fourth brand to clock million-plus sales
The single-cylinder, four-stroke, 125cc Glamour has been outselling the conventional segment bestseller – Honda's CB Shine models – since February this year.
Hero MotoCorp, which already has three mass commuter motorcycle brands namely Splendor, Passion and HF Deluxe with sales of more than one million units in the domestic market, is now looking at its 125cc bestseller – the Glamour – to achieve the same feat.
The single-cylinder, four-stroke, 125cc Glamour, which is offered in two variants of carburettor-fed engine as well as a fuel injected-engine, has been outselling the conventional segment bestseller – Honda's CB Shine models – since February this year.
Talking to Autocar Professional, Ashok Bhasin, head - sales, marketing and customer care, Hero MotoCorp, remarked: "While the Splendor and Passion brands continue to expand, we have more brands that are expanding like that. HF Deluxe is also now a one million-plus brand. We have already launched a one-million mission for the Glamour, which is the fastest growing brand for us. We are growing at almost 29-30 percent (Glamour). It is on its way to becoming a million-plus brand soon. We are also very positive about the two new scooters (Duet and Maestro Edge). We have more brands becoming as popular and as iconic as the Splendor and the Passion brands."
Bhasin, however, declined to comment on the estimated timeline for Glamour to achieve the aforesaid sales landmark.
