Ford India rolls out 100,000th Fiesta
Ford India has rolled out the 100,000th Fiesta from its manufacturing facility near Chennai.
The 100,000th Fiesta was driven off the assembly line by the company’s president and managing director Michael Boneham.
Also present were Nigel Wark, executive director - marketing, sales and service, Sandip Sanyal, executive director of operations, and hundreds of Ford India employees.
"After a terrific sales record in March and April, the rolling out of the 100,000th Ford Fiesta is a truly special moment," said Boneham. The company sold 858 units of the Fiesta in April.
Among the many accolades the car has won is being ranked No. 1 in ‘Total Customer Satisfaction in the Diesel Midsize Segment’ in the TNS Automotive 2009-TCS Study. The Fiesta was the first car exported out of Ford India’s manufacturing facility as a CBU to South Africa.
