Force One gets over 1,000 bookings in debut month
It may be a good start for Force Motors’ maiden SUV – Force One.
It may be a good start for Force Motors’ maiden SUV – Force One. The company has received over 1000 bookings till 27 September, through a network of 18 showrooms (including one company-owned showroom). Sanjeev Garg, president – Personal Vehicles Division, Force Motors, told Autocar Professional, l “September may see a tally of around 1,200 bookings. But sales for the month will be much less as we are ramping up production slowly.” The Force One was launched on 19 August and went on sale from September 1.
The company has installed an annual production capacity of 12,000 units for the SUV. Even though the Force One competes with the likes of Tata Safari and Mahindra Scorpio, its sales may well get impacted with the launch of Mahindra’s XUV 500. Many prospective Force One customers may also wait for the XUV 500 launch to see its price positioning before making the final decision.
