FADA honours Keshub Mahindra and Rahul Bajaj with lifetime contribution awards

May 25, 2012: In view of their invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the Indian auto industry, Keshub Mahindra, chairman, Mahindra Group, and Rahul Bajaj, chairman, Bajaj Auto, were felicitated by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) recently with lifetime contribution awards.

FADA honours Keshub Mahindra and Rahul Bajaj with lifetime contribution awards

May 25, 2012: In view of their invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the Indian auto industry, Keshub Mahindra, chairman, Mahindra Group, and Rahul Bajaj, chairman, Bajaj Auto, were felicitated by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) recently with lifetime contribution awards. They were presented to Mr Mahindra and Mr Bajaj by a team of FADA members led by their president, Nikunj Sanghi.

Speaking on the occasion, Nikunj Sanghi said, “Thanks to their vision, determination and pioneering efforts, the Indian growth story is making waves all over the world. The Indian auto retail market owes a lot to Mr Keshub Mahindra and Mr Rahul Bajaj for the leadership and direction provided by them over the years.”



Mr Mohan Himatsingka, vice-president, added, “The iconic status of Mr Mahindra and Mr Bajaj in the Indian industry as a result of their business acumen, ethical business practices and excellent corporate governance track record, have earned them laurels and accolades not only in India but across the globe.”

Other members of the FADA team, who were present on the occasion, included Bharat M Sanghvi, Rakesh Jain, Vinay Nevatia, and Jayendra Kachalia – all past presidents of FADA.

FADA, founded in 1964, is the apex national body of automobile dealers engaged in sale, service and spares of two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars and UVs, commercial vehicles (including buses and trucks) and tractors in India. It has 1,500 members, including 24 associations of automobile dealers at the regional, state and city levels, and represents over 75 percent of retail automobile trade in India.
