The company will equip all variants of the MPV with ESP and Hill Hold Assist
Maruti has increased prices of its Ertiga which will now be Rs 6,000 more across all variants of the people mover. Effective 22 July, 2022, the Ertiga will now have a starting Ex-showroom price of INR 841,000/- (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
In a stock market filing, the company said all variants of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will now be equipped with ESP and Hill Hold Assist as standard safety features. Earlier, these features were being offered in the automatic transmission-equipped versions, and the ZXi+ manual transmission variant only.
Maruti recently launched the updated Ertiga with an upgraded 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, K15C petrol engine with Dual Jet and mild-hybrid start-stop technology. The company had also introduced a CNG option even in the higher ZXi trim to the new line-up using the same 1.5-litre Dual Jet engine. The MPV gets a restyled front end and changes to the interior. The vehicle’s fleet-only Tour M variant gets a CNG option as well, and is targeted at the taxi segment.
Of the company's total order backlog of 340,000 units until mid-July, the Ertiga, especially in its CNG trims, is a significant contributor. The MPV commands a waiting period of as high as eight months in some cities.
