Eicher launches improved E2 trucks

Eicher has launched a new series of light and medium duty trucks called the E2 Plus. According to the company the new range offers better value, improved mileage and performance, and is available in both BS-II and BS-III versions.

Originally launched in 2005, the E2 series was meant to give operators better fuel efficiency, require fewer gear shifts, have faster turnaround time, more pulling power and better driver comfort. Eicher says the new series has more features, hence the ‘E2 Plus’ tag.

The new range is designed giving high priority to safety. Eicher says the trucks have a stronger driver cabin, which is reinforced with upper and lower front crashguards and cross-members. The trucks also have a sturdy metallic bumper along with powerful, clear lens headlamps.

According to G. Sekar, director, sales, Eicher Trucks and Buses, “Eicher products are known in the market for their overall low cost of ownership and the reason for this can be found in what our customers term the Eicher advantage. At the core of this is our vehicles high fuel efficiency.” Sekar adds, “The Eicher advantages in an E2 Plus truck will directly translate into better operating economics for the transporter due to greater reliability, faster turnaround and also more trips with higher loads. This way the transporter not only earns more but even saves more."

Eicher says that the E2 Plus series of trucks is the company's next step in setting new benchmarks in the Indian CV market with products that not only offer enhanced fuel-efficiency but also more safety, drivability, comfort and sturdier performance.
