Eaton appoints Shyam Kambeyanda Regional President, Americas, Hydraulics Business

Mumbai, June 17, 2013: Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton has announced that Shyam Kambeyanda, who served as the company’s managing director for India from 2007 to 2010, has been named regional president, Americas, for the Hydraulics business effective July 1.

Eaton appoints Shyam Kambeyanda Regional President, Americas, Hydraulics Business

Mumbai, June 17, 2013: Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton has announced that Shyam Kambeyanda, who served as the company’s managing director for India from 2007 to 2010, has been named regional president, Americas, for the Hydraulics business effective July 1. In his new role, Kambeyanda will have responsibility for sales and operations in the Americas region. He will continue to report to Bill VanArsdale, president, Hydraulics Group, and will relocate to Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He succeeds Joao Faria who has moved into a new leadership role. A search is underway for a successor for Kambeyanda in his current role as regional president – Asia Pacific, Hydraulics business.

“Shyam’s diverse global experience along with his strong knowledge of marketing and manufacturing make him ideally suited to lead our Americas region,” said VanArsdale. “I want to thank Shyam for the great job he’s done leading our Asia Pacific region and wish him the best as he steps into this new leadership role.”
Since joining Eaton in 1995, Kambeyanda has held roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and marketing including business unit manager of the Supercharger and Cylinder Head business in Torino, Italy; general manager of the Automotive Group’s Engine Air Management Operations in Shanghai, China; managing director, India; and his most recent assignment, regional president – Asia Pacific, for the Hydraulics business. Kambeyanda holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and general science from Coe College in Iowa and in electrical engineering from Iowa State University. Kambeyanda also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
