Mumbai-based EV start-up Earth Energy EV has launched 3 electric smart two-wheelers Glyde + (scooter), Evolve R (motorcycle) and Evolve X (motorcycle) with prices starting at Rs 92,000. The company claims that its electric two-wheeler range has 96 percent localisation.

The company says the new range of electric two-wheelers offer a mix of smart features, comfort, ease of use, quick charging with adaptive range prediction according to the riders driving patterns with price starting at Rs 92,000- 142,000.

All Earth Energy’s vehicles are equipped with a 5-inch TFT display that comes with a default in-built app-enabled with smartphones that helps the rider to keep live navigation status, incoming calls/messages alert, trip history, and current destination on-screen for the confidence-inducing uninterrupted ride. The app also allows the third-party usage model for food delivery agents and facilitates easy order mapping on the display screen.

The range is equipped with automatic headlight enabled feature for switching effortlessly during night and day-time and an LCD display which will help riders to see in dark and light mode, Battery SOC, real-time range and TBT (turnabout time) navigation among others.

The start-up says it has thoughtfully built an Earth Energy app that digitally clones the user’s vehicle and provides up to 270 parameters to diagnose. The users can also book the maintenance services with one click using the app.

The electric two-wheelers are available in 3 colours - Marshal Grey, Jet Black, and White.

Priced at Rs 92,000 the Earth Energy Glyde+ e-scooter is powered by a 2.4W electric motor and claims to offer a top speed of 60kph. The Evolve Z motorcycle e-motorcycle is equipped with 96 AH/ lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 100km, 15 degrees of grade ability and priced at Rs 130,000. The Evolve R e-motorcycle is claimed to have a top speed of 110km, a range of 100km at full charge and can be had for Rs 142,000. All the products have a claimed charging time of 2.5-hours using standard charger and can be fast charged from zero to 80 percent in 40-minutes through its proprietary charger.

In terms of dealership the company says it has already associated with 7 dealers in Mumbai and plans to expand  to 45 dealerships by end-2021. Each dealer will have four charging points can use for a year. The company says the Glyde+ will be available in showrooms by end-February, the Evolve Z and Evolve R models will be available by March-end. Customers can book the EVs online for Rs 1,000 and the vehicles will be delivered by dealers will to the customer’s place.

In terms of manufacturing facility, the company says it has a capacity to produce 12,000 units per annum at its existing location and aims to expand it to 65,000 units with a newer facility soon.
