Dana India's Gajanan Gandhe conferred IIT-Bombay’s Distinguished Service Award

Gajanan Gandhe, Country Head and Vice-President of Dana India, has been conferred with the Distinguished Service Award at the Indian institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-Bombay). The presentation ceremony took place recently at the institute's Annual Alumni Day held recently at the campus.

Gajanan Gandhe, a graduate in civil engineering and an IIT alumni, received IIT-Bombay’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements. Beyond excelling in his chosen field, Gandhe has played a vital and enduring role in advancing the institute. The award symbolizes the institute's deep appreciation for Gandhe's lasting impact. His recognition stands as a testament to the caliber of individuals emerging from IIT Bombay, making substantial and lasting contributions.

Currently at the helm of Dana India, Gajanan Gandhe leads business units, functional teams, and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic growth. His responsibilities also include the implementation of the company's e-mobility strategy in the geographic market, showcasing his leadership in a rapidly evolving industry. Additionally, he contributes to Dana's vision as a member of each of the company's India-based boards of directors.

Prof. Sudarshan, Deputy Director (Academic and Infrastructural Affairs) at IIT Bombay expressed his profound gratitude for the invaluable contributions of IIT Bombay's alumni during the event. He emphasised the diverse ways in which alumni give back, including record-breaking donations, advisory roles, and direct involvement as faculty members, underscoring their role in elevating the institute's global reputation.

Upon receiving the award, Gajanan Gandhe expressed gratitude, stating, "I am truly humbled and grateful to be acknowledged with the Distinguished Service Award by my mentors. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of my professional and personal growth, and I look forward to continuing our shared commitment to excellence."
