Cummins Filtration Inc have sold their shares in their 50:50 JV, Cummins Exhaust India Ltd, to tube products specialist Global Tube in line with a global divestiture of Cummins’ exhaust business to the portfolio company of Wind Point Partners. The business being transferred consists of Cummins’ acoustic exhaust operations in Stoughton, Arcadia, Black River Falls and Viroqua, all in Wisconsin, Scoresby in Australia, and Daman in India.
Global Tube will assume the name Nelson Products, revitalising a brand Cummins acquired in 1999, on which it has built its aftertreatment solutions business, Cummins Emission Solutions (CES). Cummins will retain the Emission Solution Business and will continue to operate from the Daman facility adjacent to the exhaust plant.
The new company, headquartered in Stoughton, Wisconsin, will boast a portfolio that spans from engine tubing to exhaust and diesel oxidation products, Manoj Solanki, head of Cummins Exhaust and Cummins Emission Solutions in India, told Autocar Professional.
