Contest underway for India's safest driver

Our sister magazine Autocar India, market leader Maruti Suzuki and Zapak.com have teamed up to conduct a nationwide competition called ‘Autocar Young Driver 2009’.

The aim is to discover the safest young driver in the country, with the winner getting a brand new Maruti Suzuki A-star. The focus of this multi-city contest will be on finding those with the best driving skills and will be conducted in three phases. All young drivers between 18 and 30 are eligible to compete and contestants can register online at www.youngdriver09.zapak.com. The driver with the ideal combination of skill and wits will be recognised as the Autocar Young Driver 2009.

Besides an A-star, the winner will also get a certificate and badge for being India’s safest driver, and a bumper sticker on the winning car which states that the driver is the country’s safest road user. The Autocar Young Driver programme is an annual contest encouraging a safe driving culture in the country.
