Caska launches new car multimedia system for India

Caska launches new car multimedia system for India

April 26: In-car entertainment systems manufacturer Caska of China has launched a new car multimedia system called the E-car Series for the Indian market. The product will cost between Rs 31,990 to Rs 49,990 depending on the model specifications and will be sold through its Indian partner, Auto Trendz.

The unique feature of the E-car series is that you can connect a USB dongle from any internet service provider to the system and get connected to the internet. The full-touch screen system can be used for navigation and can also be used to receive news, weather and stock updates as well as for social networking among other internet applications. The E-car Series also has functions like tyre pressure monitoring and parking assistance with the help of sensors.

Speaking to Autocar Professional, Kaiser Zheng, sales director of Coagent Enterprise (the company that owns the Caska brand), said: “We are confident that we can sell 20,000 units till December 2012.”



The E-car Series is the third Caska product to be launched in India. The Chinese manufacturer will distribute the products through 200 Auto Trendz dealerships across India. Neeraj Banka, director, Auto Trendz, commented: “We are in talks with companies like General Motors India and Hyundai Motor India for approving the Caska range as a genuine accessory in their cars.”
