Bosch announces management changes, V K Viswanathan is new chairman

Bangalore, June 6, 2013: Bosch Ltd’s board of directors has announced that Dr A Hieronimus will step down from the position of non-executive director and chairman of the Board of Bosch Ltd with effect from July 1, 2013, after an association of nearly 10 years with the company.

Bosch announces management changes, V K Viswanathan is new chairman

Bangalore, June 6, 2013: Bosch Ltd’s board of directors has announced that Dr A Hieronimus will step down from the position of non-executive director and chairman of the Board of Bosch Ltd with effect from July 1, 2013, after an association of nearly 10 years with the company. Prior to this, he was managing director of the company from September 2003 to January 2008.

Taking over from Dr Hieronimus is V K Viswanathan who has been appointed as the new chairman of the board with effect from July 1, 2013. Viswanathan joined Bosch in 1998. During his 15-year stint with Bosch, he took over as joint managing director in January 2001. He was MD and president of Bosch Group India from February 2008 to December 2012, a position from which he retired on December 31, 2012.
Meanwhile, after 10 years as a non-executive director at Bosch Ltd, Dr Bernd Bohr has resigned with effect from July 1, 2013. During this time, he was also responsible for India on the board of Robert Bosch GmbH in Germany. Peter Tyroller has been appointed as non-executive director on the board starting from July 1. Tyroller will be responsible for Asian operations of Robert Bosch GmbH and take over the responsibility for Bosch in India from Dr Bernd Bohr.
Mr Muthuraman, who has been non-executive director on the board since January 2007, will step down from this position with effect from July 1.
