THE FIFTH EDITION of Automechanika Shanghai to be held from December 9 – 11, 2009, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China has confirmed participation from over 1,800 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions . They include Brazil, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UK and USA. The exhibition is spread over 100,000 square metres to accommodate the expected record number of over 2,000 exhibitors. Eight country pavilions – Germany, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Spain, UK and USA – have been confirmed for the show. Many leading local and international maintenance equipment manufacturers are participating including Corghi, Dali Equipment, Ever-Eternal, JinHua Industrial Group, Launch Tech, MAXIMA and Snap-on. The US-based Snap-on, a leading global innovator and manufacturer of diagnostic equipment, tools, software and service solutions, sees huge potential in China’s aftersales market because China’s vehicle sales remain strong and is entering into a phase of quality repair and maintenance market. Local industry aims to raise the awareness of the importance of safety and productivity at the show. To support the maintenance equipment sector, the 3rd Automobile Maintenance Equipment Dealer Convention will be held concurrently with Automechanika Shanghai.
