Autocar Professional's 3rd Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave to discuss, debate disruptions

Autocar Professional is all set to host its third edition of the Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave on March 15, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi. The must-attend day-long event for all industry stakeholders will see rivetting discussions and debates by industry anchors, experts and bureaucrats that will give many an insight on the present and upcoming trends.

Gracing the occasion, Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, the government's premiere policy think-tank, will share his perspective on what is and what will drive the growth story for the Indian automotive industry.

The event will also mark the unveiling of a White Paper on the Indian two-wheeler industry by knowledge partner Frost & Sullivan.

Expect the day to start with a power-packed session on the 'Evolution of the Indian Two-Wheeler Industry. What next?' The session will see industry stalwarts present their views and discuss the way forward. They include Naveen Munjal, MD, Hero Eco Group; Malo Le Masson, Head - Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp; Sajeev Rajasekharan, MD, Harley-Davidson India and Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy.

Sessions II and III
The second planned session for the day will see Anil Srivastava, Principal Adviser, NITI Aayog and DG - DMEO; Sohinder Singh Gill, CEO, Hero Electric and Director General (Corporate affairs), Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles; Dr Ravi Damodaran, CTO, Greaves Cotton; and Prashanth Doresamy, Head, Continental India discuss on the role of two-wheelers in changing the mobility landscape in the country, start-ups and the era of electric mobility.

The third session is all about the new-age of mobility and Industry 4.0, both disruptive forces. The afternoon session at the Autocar Professional's Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave will witness captains of the industry explore and present their views on the emerging opportunities and disruptions ahead. The expert session will see participation from Pankaj Dubey, MD, Indian Motorcycles India; Sergi Canovas, MD, Ducati India; YS Guleria, senior VP – Sales & Marketing, HMSI; Aniruddha Haldar, VP (marketing) – Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor; and Nikunj Sanghi, Director - International Affairs and past president, Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations.

The theme of the event 'Identifying Growth Opportunities In A Disruptive Era' cannot be complete without the participation from the component manufacturing industry. The Conclave will bring together a panel of industry experts to present their views on the way forward, and role of each stakeholder to take the Indian auto industry forward. The panelists for the session ‘Road ahead for the two-wheeler market - Building a sustainable and world-class two-wheeler industry’ include Ms. Hema Annamalai, founder and CEO, Ampere Vehicles; Autocar Professional's 2018 Man of the Year, Jayant Davar, founder, co-chairman and MD, Sandhar Technologies; Kaushik Madhavan, VP - Mobility Practice (automotive & transportation) Frost & Sullivan South Asia; and Prabhu Patil, president and CEO, Prolim Global.
