Audi India clocks half-yearly sale of 4,846 units, notches 21 percent growth
Mumbai, July 2, 2013: The hard-charging Audi has maintained its growth momentum in the Indian luxury car market during the first half of 2013. The German carmaker has sold 4,846 cars during the January to June 2013 period, recording a growth of 21 percent (January to June 2012: 4,000 cars).
Mumbai, July 2, 2013: The hard-charging Audi has maintained its growth momentum in the Indian luxury car market during the first half of 2013. The German carmaker has sold 4,846 cars during the January to June 2013 period, recording a growth of 21 percent (January to June 2012: 4,000 cars). In June 2013, Audi India sold 750 cars, a growth of over 4 percent (June 2012: 718 cars).
“Our strategy of building a strong brand, high quality network and exciting product portfolio is paying its dividend in India. We are confident of our growth in the second half of the year through introduction of new models and further dealership expansion. We remain on track to achieve our annual target of 20 percent growth for 2013. We hope to continue the same success story in 2013, while making Audi India one of the fastest growing markets for Audi AG worldwide,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
Earlier today, Audi India launched the new RS 5 Coupé priced at Rs 95.28 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Equipped with a powerful V8 engine, the high-revving sports car goes from 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250kph.
