Atlas Copco breaks new ground
Atlas Copco based in Pune has created new benchmarks in the compressor industry.
Atlas Copco based in Pune has created new benchmarks in the compressor industry. Its compressor technique division designs, manufactures and markets oil-free and oil-injected air compressors, portable air compressors, gas and process compressors.
The combination of features in Atlas Copco compressors has spawned a new quantum leap with the workplace air system. The low noise level enables the compressor to be installed close to the compressed air application, minimising the size of the air distribution system reducing pressure loss and potential for leakage.
The GA VSD compressor can save up to 35 percent energy. Atlas Copco has pioneered the GA Variable Speed Drive compressors, offering the capability to match perfectly compressor capacity to air demand. It has now come up with the GX Range of compressors from 3-15hp. Atlas Copco has recently launched a new range of oil-injected rotary screw compressors. The new GA Plus WorkPlace Air Systems range offers users a premium performance package.
The design includes four patents which improve reliability, offer maximum free air delivery, lower noise levels and maintenance costs. The workplace units are equipped with radial fans that lower noise levels considerably. With names like Tata Motors, TVS, Hyundai, Kinetic, Honda, and Ford in its kitty, Atlas Copco today aims at increasing its reach not only to automakers but also to the service stations that represent them in different areas.
