Ather Energy targets staffers of 2,500 corporates to make the shift to EVs

Smart electric scooter OEM Ather Energy has rolled out its largest ever corporate outreach programme to promote e-mobility in India.

The programme, valid till February 28, 2023, is targeted at employees from 2,500 organisations. It offers corporate discounts and exchange offers worth Rs 16,259 including GST on Ather 450 series e-scooters to enable them to make the switch from a IC engine two-wheeler to an EV.

The offer includes a corporate discount worth Rs 4,000, an exchange bonus worth Rs 4,000 and tax savings on loans taken to buy an Ather on the financial front. On the product front, Ather is offering a complimentary 2-year extended battery warranty (over and above the manufacturer warranty of 3 years) worth Rs 8,259 (only on the 450X). The EV OEM has also offered to install complimentary charging infrastructure at workplaces.

Ather Energy currently has a strong retail sales network across the country, with a presence in 80 cities with over 100 Experience Centres. It is implementing an expansion roadmap covering Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities in India, increasing its retail footprint to 150 centres in 100 cities by March 2023. The Bengaluru-based company also has the largest fast-charging network for two-wheelers in India and has installed over 900 Ather Grids across the country.

The EV start-up registered its best-ever monthly sales of 12,149 units in January 2023, barely a month after it had notched its previous best – 9,187 units in December 2022.
